Safety and Product Disclaimer
Read this statement before specifying, installing or relying on DefendX equipment.
DefendX is intended as a supplementary monitoring, annunciation, event-recording and auxiliary output-control system. It does not replace the primary approved fire alarm control and indicating equipment. Final installation, interfacing and use must comply with applicable fire-safety regulations, project requirements and approvals.
Supplementary function only
DefendX M32 and DefendX Node monitor, annunciate and record conditions reported by existing fire alarm control panels. They do not detect fire, do not initiate detection logic and do not perform any function reserved for the approved fire alarm control panel.
Panel remains the primary system
The approved fire alarm control panel remains the primary life-safety device on site. Its sounders, evacuation logic and statutory functions must remain fully operational and independent of DefendX equipment.
Certification scope
DefendX does not claim listing or approval under any life-safety standard unless a certificate is published and referenced explicitly. Do not assume compliance from website content alone.
Installation responsibility
Interfacing, cabling, isolation and commissioning must be carried out by a competent fire alarm engineer in accordance with local codes and the panel manufacturer's instructions.
Network dependency
Annunciation of remote panels depends on the facility TCP/IP network. Communication loss is displayed as an explicit offline state with stale data, never as a normal condition, but it does interrupt remote visibility until restored.
Demonstration data
The live demo on this website is a simulation running entirely in your browser with fictitious data. It is not connected to any real installation.
Record retention
Recorded event history is intended to support investigation and maintenance review. It is not a substitute for statutory logbooks where these are required.
